Sharing Results

This page will highlight the collabaration between the cooperating schools. Here you will find outlines of experiments and observations from the students.

Teachers will use the rubric below to assess the group work during the project.

Between the two schools there are 9 groups that will work on the various experiments and share results. There names are:

The Golden Glowing Team, The Laser Team, The Silver Stars, The Lightning Group, The World of Colors, Rainbows, Thomas Edison, Camouflage B and Camouflage G

Week 47 - Splitting Light

Rainbow group - What happened?

We tried to catch the sunlight and make it go through the prism and bend it to make a rainbow. It turned in to colours. The colours were red, yellow, green, blue and purple.

Camouflage B - What Happened?

We made the sun go through the prism. Thats how you bend light with a prism. A prism acts light a water drop. The colours turned into red, yellow, green, blue and purple.

The World of Colors - What happened?

We saw a tunnel shaped rainbow. When we shined the flashlight the opposite way we saw a bunny ear shaped rainbow!!

The Golden Glowing team - What happened?

A rainbow came and the colours in it were red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. It was really exciting to watch the rainbow move.

When we shined the torch in the jar we saw a diagonal triangle of light.

Week 48 - Bending Light

Lightning Group - What Happened?

We saw a floor of water and a roof of water on the roof of water there was an other coin.

The Laser Team - What Happened?

We saw one coin, then two coins, then three coins, then four coins.
And there was only one coin inside the box.

The Golden Glowing Team - What Happened?

We saw two coins. The water was bending light.

The World of Colors

It looked like the coin had a roof!

Mixing Colors - Week 49

The Golden Glowing team - What Happened?

Are prediction was right. 3 red and 4 yellow .It made
orange. Then we added two drops of blue, that made a
lumpy sort of red. Then we added one drop of red that
made brown. Then one more drop of yellow that made
reddish brown.

Our prediction was right .The colors were, nine
drops of blue, seven drops of red, eight
Drops of yellow .It turned out to be a nice light
purple.

The lightning group

The experiment didnt work so good it looks like
pink & red.
But Kajsa accidentally put too much red
We tried 5 drops of blue & 6 drops of red & 1 drop of
yellow.
The other one we did we did worked very good.

We tried to make Green
4 drops of blue and 4 drops of yellow. Test
predictions it did not work. It looks like Indigo.
Now it still dose not work. It is Green now. 11
yellow 4 blue.

One Color or Two - Week 50

The students worked with the Paint program on the computer to create some great analogous, monochromatic and complementary color pictures. Click the pictures to see!
